The latest updated software comes with the drone, so there is no need to buy anything else. Indoor stable flight has been made possible with the inclusion of a  — which consists of “an integrated array of optical and ultrasonic sensors” — and a fully-stabilized three-axis gimbal, and there is also Lightbridge digital streaming so that you can view 720p video live. At the same time, the internal micro SD card records full-resolution video. In this way, you can see exactly what the drone sees and make any corrections that you deem necessary. Both i0S and Android devices — though not Windows, as of now — will work with the drone.

It has a better controller, the vps system, a little longer range and has the same camera as the professional. All for a hundred dollars more. I have had cheaper quads but this thing is so much easier to fly. It can literally fly itself. Just take the time to read everything you can, not only will you be able to take full advantage of all of its capabilities but you'll be familiar with the laws too. Also download the litchi app it will open a new world of possibilities that thing can do. Don't forget to register with the FAA. Just to clarify some misleading things other reviewers are posting. The controller works through wifi to communicate to the phone and drone. It creates a wifi hotspot but you do not need to be connected to the Internet for this to work. I have flown in the most remote places that had no service and it flys perfectly. You do need to cache your maps ahead though if you are planning on using the google maps in the dji go app as you will need data to see the satellite imagery but once it's cached its there for good. I read a review where a guy was saying he had to take a router with him to fly. He's either doing something wrong and needs to read the manual or return the drone because something is wrong. The reviews on here crack me up. Most of the negative reviews are because people can not seem to research what they are buying and do not read the manual. This is not the professional model! You will be disappointed if your buying this and realize you didn't read the description and figured out that this is not the professional model. It's an upgraded standard version as noted above.

This thing is awesome! If you're on the fence between this or the standard. Get this one. It has a better controller, the vps system, a little longer range and has the same camera as the professional.
